Complete Guide to Park Güell

Welcome to Park Güell, one of the most original and colourful places in Barcelona.
Jordi’s practical tip:
One more practical tip before you start: Park Güell has many open areas with very little shade.
On sunny days, we strongly recommend wearing a hat or cap and bringing a bottle of water, because the heat can be intense and you will be walking for quite a while.
Before you begin, there is one important detail that can make your visit much easier: the entrance you choose.
We recommend arriving through the upper entrance on Carretera del Carmel. Starting from here allows you to discover the park while walking downhill, instead of beginning your visit with a long and tiring climb.
As you continue, you will enjoy beautiful views over Barcelona, peaceful garden areas and some of Antoni Gaudí’s most imaginative creations.
Little by little, you will reach the Monumental Zone, where you can see the famous colourful dragon, the Hypostyle Room and the panoramic terrace with its curved mosaic bench.
At the end of the visit, you can leave through the main entrance on Carrer d’Olot.
